PEPE & SPEEDY [A]
CONCERT FOR CHILDREN UNTIL 10 YEARS
Music and art are staples: it will always find its place because the need for it is ingrained in people. (Statement by Christoph Pepe Auer & Manfred "Speedy Tremmel about the New Colours Festival)
Attention ready go! Three instruments play against each other. Ever heard of a Pepefon? If you want to know what this instrument sounds like, this children's concert is for you. It's an entertaining journey around guitar, saxophone - and also with the Pepephone in the luggage. The latter is said to have a distant resemblance to a marble game, it should be revealed here already. The two passionate musical comedians also play with other strange constructions. At this children's concert, the audience is invited to join the two musicians in their search for sounds and quotations from jazz, pop, folk and classical music. Where have they been hiding? Adults will also have fun here. The focus is on the immediate joy of playing, the creative handling of the instruments, and a musically interactive exchange with the audience.
Behind all this playful music mediation, the Austrian multi-instrumentalist Christoph Pepe Auer has a huge horizon of experience in various bands of his own as well as in the Jazz Big Band Graz and the Vienna Art Orchestra. Christoph Pepe Auer is just as diversely active as a teacher at the Mozarteum Salzburg and at the Jazzcampus Basel. With Manfred Speedy Temmel he has one of the most versatile string wizards of the Austrian jazz scene at his side.
