JULIAN MAIER-HAUFF TROMPETE SAXOPHON POSAUNE SYNTHEZISER ELEKTRONICS
Multi-instrumentalist Julian Maier-Hauff moves effortlessly between jazz, electronic music, and improvised sound art. The Mannheim-based musician is one of the most exciting boundary-pushers on the German music scene.
In his solo project, Maier-Hauff creates a live sonic cosmos that emerges entirely in the moment—no pre-recorded tracks, no safety net. Every note is improvisation, every transition an immediate reaction to the space, atmosphere, and audience. His solo format is perhaps the most direct expression of his musical vision: spontaneous creativity, maximum freedom, and a sound that brings electronic music back to life.
Using trumpet, saxophone, trombone, synthesizers, drum machines, and analog electronics, he develops hypnotic soundscapes that bridge house, ambient, jazz, and experimental electronica. Spherical textures meet driving patterns, fragile melodies meet pulsating grooves. The result is a continuous musical flow that constantly transforms yet remains organic.
A concert by Julian Maier-Hauff is not a traditional performance, but an open-ended sonic journey—at times meditative and expansive, at times rhythmic and ecstatic. Music that is not reproduced, but created in the very moment.
