DAS LEO | CLOSE TO SKIN
In the immediate vicinity of the CreativQuartier Fürst Leopold with its lovingly restored and designed machine hall lies one of Germany's newest socio-cultural centers "Das LEO". In times of great pressure to save money, Dorsten has nevertheless created a meeting place for civic engagement and youth culture on the former coal mine site, next to the old machine hall. The cozy concert hall with its directly adjacent lounge impresses with its exceptionally good acoustics. Within a very short time, LEO has become a jazz hotspot in the southern Münsterland and northern Ruhr area. Here, the concert-goer is up close and personal when world-class jazz musicians present their sonic art.
