MORITZ GÖTZEN TRIO [D]

Moritz Götzen sets out with his new formation in search of his own voice as an improviser. Raised in classical, pop/rock and punk music, then academized in jazz, he tries to create an honest reflection of his musical history in his compositions. To close himself neither to kitsch, nor to the aesthetics of the ugly and to give his space to the physical as well as to the intellectual aspect of music. With stylistic openness and sensitivity, the jazz trio shapes the deliberately simplistic melodies into energetic structures.
