LEIBNIZ GYMNASIUM AUDITORIUM | THE “KEKSBUNKER”

The origins of Leibniz Gymnasium date back to 1858. But it wasn’t until 1904 that the school was granted the status of a secondary school, allowing students to earn their Abitur. Construction on the building on Breddestraße began in 1906 and was completed as early as 1908. A particular gem of the high school is the auditorium. An extraordinary chandelier and the colorful bay window immediately catch the eye. The “auditorium window” depicts the art teacher and designer of the window at the time, along with his students and the faculty.
