In recent years, Jeff Cascaro has popularized soul jazz in Germany like no other. Now he is turning with equal passion to classic jazz with a bluesy undertone. Thus, his selection of songs and ballads in the new stage program "love & blues in the city" alternate between classic jazz pieces and rhythm'n blues/blues numbers. Throughout, however, the music is played with jazzy ease and knows how to combine the casualness of swing with the rough earthiness of the blues.

This diversified program is performed in an excellent quartet formation with a lot of room for dynamics and vocal subtleties. The result is very emotional music with a lot of groove, mixing the finest vocal parts with improvisations. In the center of the action is the warm vocal voice of Jeff Cascaro, who acts in the tradition of the great jazz singers. Music for the late hours.
